Based out of Ireland, Rachel specializes in functional blood chemistry analysis. She’s focused on root cause healing and takes a holistic approach to Crohn’s and Colitis. We did a couple blood analysis work ups and virtual appointments with her.
Hemal focuses on electrical vagus nerve stimulation for autoimmune issues and mental health. You can book a free call with him. I did. It was great. Unfortunately these devices aren’t recommended for or tested on pediatric patients. But I would look into and consider this again someday, if needed.
When I was searching, searching, searching I came across Ann Arbor Holistic. I did the complimentary consultation, but ultimately didn’t pursue things further because we were trying other holistic things at the time and had to prioritize our spending and our energy. I do think they could be an excellent resource.
Matt runs a group on Facebook called Toxic Mold Answers - Functional Medicine Methodology. It is very helpful. I have not purchased any products from his website, but I have learned so much through his video series and the knowledge he shares.
Vibrant Wellness provides tests exclusively to healthcare providers, and does not sell tests directly to patients. If your current provider doesn’t use Vibrant Wellness, reach out to VW - they are responsive and helpful. They sent me a list of providers that do order labs for new patients. From that list I was able to compare pricing and make decisions that fit my family’s needs and budget. Our main functional medicine doctor, Dr. Lum, also uses Vibrant Wellness. The labs tell you a lot. We’ve done Gut Zoomer and Mycotoxins so far.
Dr. Jess’ goal is to identify and address the underlying causes of chronic health conditions. This is a monthly membership type of service, with levels of financial cost and services available. I utilized the membership to order labs from Vibrant Wellness at a good price (relative to other options I found online - they aren’t exactly cheap.)
This helps you identify the mold, bacteria, and biotoxins in your home. This data is good to have, as you can make informed decisions. For example, for us we did a mycotoxins test first, followed by the dust test, followed by a full inspection, followed by remediation. This test is conducted with a sterile cloth that you wipe on surfaces and send to a lab. Super easy to do.
The US EPA developed ERMI to provide a straightforward, objective, sensitive and standardized way to assess mold and indoor air quality investigations. The USEPA developed the ERMI as a ranking system based on dust samples collected from homes, the ERMI will help predict the moldiness of homes. We didn’t buy an ERMI, but instead did the Dust Test. It’s basically the same thing.
This company does remediations all across the country. The company is dedicated to cleaner indoor air. Here’s the deal - they are way out of my budget. But they offer so much education for free. I read their blog. Listened to podcasts. Followed their Instagram. And got a free call with someone from their team when I got my Dust Test results (partner company). The call was super helpful, even though I wasn’t actually looking to hire Home Cleanse.
PJ Harlow can be hired as a consultant to help you navigate mold remediation and creating a healthier home. It. Is. Complicated. If you can afford her services, I would venture to say they are so worth it. We did not hire her, as again, our budget was not that generous. But, like so many, she gives away a lot for free. Her insta is a goldmine for educating yourself on all things mold and home health.
This company does home assessment and testing services for hyper-sensitive individuals. They are a nationwide mold inspection company. They specialize in helping people suffering from CIRS, PANS/PANDAS, Lyme Disease, and Autoimmune Diseases related to mold illness. Look into the if your budget allows. They fly to wherever you are, so I assume it is expensive. But I also assume they are really good at what they do.
I bought and read her book. I follow her on Instagram. She’s a wealth of knowledge related to mold, PANS, and more.
This is a great tool for finding a PANDAS physician near you. It has a search feature where you can search by state.
When we thought the root of our issues was allergies, this was a great resource as a breastfeeding mom. I paid for a consultation once. Ultimately, it isn’t what I needed, as our issues were not actually allergies. Still a good resource.
When eating is a challenge (which it was and still is for our son) this organization can really help. From infancy into toddlerhood, our issues surrounding food have changed and varied, but certainly remain.
